Mommy is my first career

Baby number one has a new found love for nursery school after a year of guilt weighing me down from the daily routine of having my screaming baby pried from my arms. Number two turns 1 month old this week and is content using his every waking moment in Mommys arms. Two years ago we purchased a foreclosure property and have spent most weekends since then fixing it up. What started as an exciting project and great investment opportunity has become expensive and overwhelming. I am a mom of two, a wife, and a homemaker as my first career. I personally long for that to be my sole career, however in today's world, this is nearly a financial impossibility. So I am making the most of my maternity leave days now, knowing I will very soon need to return to provide my share of income for my family. Life is busy... which puts it lightly, but I wouldn't trade my decision to walk the Mommy path for any other life.
